                        SENATE BILL 626
SB 626 purports to ban wagering on dog racing in Michigan.
However, there are no dog racing tracks in Michigan.  However,
"dog racing" in poorly defined in the bill and could apply to sled
dog racing, field or lure coursing for sight hounds, coon hound
events, agility trials and fly ball races for all breeds. All could be
considered  “dog racing.”

MAPBD has sent a memorandum to the Speaker of the
Michigan House of Representatives  regarding its position on
Senate Bill 626.
